JAKE E. LEE's RED DRAGON CARTEL Escapes Unscathed After Limo Catches Fire
September 10, 2015According to KTVU, a limousine carrying RED DRAGON CARTEL, the band led by former OZZY OSBOURNE and BADLANDS guitarist Jake E. Lee, caught fire Wednesday evening (September 9) in San Jose, California.
The fire, which was first reported just after 5:45 p.m., temporarily shut down two lanes and there were some traffic delays.
According to the California Highway Patrol, all passengers managed to escape unscathed from the car, which was reportedly operated by the Rockbar Theater, a nightclub in San Jose where RED DRAGON CARTEL is scheduled to play Thursday (September 10).
CHP says six or seven members of RED DRAGON CARTEL and their road crew were in the back of the limo when the fire broke out.
San Jose police say the fire happened after the electrical system began to short out.
Fire units and a tow truck responded to the scene. By 7:15 p.m., the vehicle had been loaded onto a flatbed truck to be removed from the freeway.
RED DRAGON CARTEL was recently rejoined by singer Darren James Smith. Darren's first show back with the group took place this past Sunday, September 6 at Rainbow Bar & Grill's Backyard Bash in West Hollywood, California.
RED DRAGON CARTEL's debut CD sold around 5,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 69 on The Billboard 200 chart.
RED DRAGON CARTEL's setlist includes new material like the singles "Feeder" and "Deceived", as well as major hits from Jake E. Lee's glorious past: "Bark At The Moon", "The Ultimate Sin" and "Rock 'N' Roll Rebel" (all originally recorded by OZZY OSBOURNE),as well as "Shine On" and "High Wire" (BADLANDS).
